Let me tell you a sad story so you can be happy about the resolution.
So a couple of days ago, a young iguana leaped from its tank while we were fixing its heat lamp and ran right into a small hole in the wall. It was doomed to never be seen again. We cried a bit and cursed fate and ourselves for the loss of one of our scaly friends; we even wrote a couple of haunting melodies in his remembrance, and that was that. We would be touchy and irritable for a few days, but in the end, we had to accept the loss and move on.
But, hark! What is that on the horizon?? Why, it’s the small green length of the prodigal iguana! Returned to us happy and healthy and none the worse for his little jaunt in our wall fixings.
Thank you anonymous Hispanic woman for pointing out our little runaway rather than screaming and stomping on him.
Oh, and we found a baby ball python that we didn’t even know was missing, so that’s good too. We love our animals.
